Senior Quantitative Strategist - Hedge Fund - London
A leading quant fund is looking for a senior quantitative strategist to join their algorithmic strategy desk. This person will be given responsibility for algorithmic strategy development in the London offices. The position is within a highly reputable team and therefore requires previous experience in research and development of algorithmic trading strategies. In addition, the role will require an in-depth focus on market microstructure research. This is a rare opportunity to work in a market leading team, where you will get the chance to play a highly important role in platform development as well as quantitative trading.
The team:
You will be working on an automated trading strategies desk, reporting directly to the head of the group in London. The group is responsible for developing algorithmic strategies, portfolio construction, high frequency data management and optimization alongside ad hoc quantitative research on European equities.
Required background:
The team is looking for a seasoned quantitative researcher, who has a thorough understanding of market microstructure research, High frequency data, developing algorithmic strategies and portfolio optimization. The role offers no managerial responsibility; the group requires a hands-on quantitative strategist with a passion for algorithmic strategies, and a highly statistical and econometric background. Prior experience in developing or updating algorithmic suites is highly advantageous.
Due to the highly quantitative nature of the role and team, an exceptional academic background is a prerequisite, at least to MsC level. A good command of programming and statistical based languages such as C++, Matlab, Java and SAS are required.
